Anyone have any experience with this bike and what do you think about it for a starter bike?

I've heard good things about the bike. I think it would might a good starter bike. It has been around for a long time and the motor is proven to be good.

I just sold my '95 750 Nighthawk to my brother. It is what it is. Very dependable SJM. I put 10K on the bike without any mechanical problems. It does everything ok but nothing outstanding.
I once had a '97 CB750. Great bike. Very dependable but just didn't feel like it had enough power for me as my main bike. I still kindof regret selling it though.

Great first bike, and probably one of the best bikes that will help you define what your next bike will be.
Definitely not a bad investment either. Should be able to sell it at a reasonable price if you decide you want to upgrade.

I had one (93 I think) and I loved it. Good, simple machine and proven engine. The ergo's were great and it handled well. I sold a bunch of them too, and never had a customer complain. Slap on a windshield and saddlebags and go on a road trip.
