I just ordered a Scala Q2 Multiset with the aux input for ipod, MP3 etc. I have about 4 friends who want me to place an order for them as well. With a bulk order, I can get a price of $295 shipped Conus. I've seen them on Ebay for a little less, but not sure if I trust them. I am ordering from a Scala distributor on the East Coast who I've dealt with in the past. If anyone is interested, please let me know. I hooked mine up this weekend and could not be happier with it. Once again, this is for a paired set of Scala Q2s with aux inputs. I'm noting the aux or MP3 input because a lot of places out there are still selling the old versions that do not have this.

Not sure if I am ready to buy one, but I was wondering, can you have 1 ipod/mp3 etc playing on both rider and passenger units at the same time?

Before I bought these, I saw a clip on youtube of a guy and gal doing what appeared to be just that. Looked like he was xmitting his mp3 signal to his girlfriend sitting behind him. However, there is nothing in the manual that supports this, and we've looked hard for it. From what I've found out, you can not wirelessly transmit your tunes to someone else, nor can the other person wearing the Scala be listening to your phone conversations. But it's very achievable by using an audio jack splitter, which is what my buddy ended up doing for his same MP3 issue.

We bought them this year and they are great. Your music/phone calls are not transmitted to the other rider/passenger. The sound isn't the greatest with the radio or mp3 (kind of tinny when you're used to cage stereos :) ) but still nice to sometimes have some other songs than the annoying ones that always seem to get stuck in your head before you ride!!!!
One way to engage the rider to rider is to yell into the mike so I'm just waiting for the day when we're going through a small, quiet town and I ride by someone yelling HEY HEY in my helmet :biggrin5: Might get my self in trouble LOL.
Sorry we missed out on the bulk order-great deal!!!!

Yeah. It's totally changed my riding experience. I should have picked these up last year. You are right about the sound quality of the mp3 player; no bass! I think the only beef I have is that they couldn't put a slightly larger pair of Sony drivers in there. One real cool thing though is that when the music is playing and you receive an incoming call, the music fades out and you get a message to "answer phone." I love them. It's one of those things on my list that I would replace in a second, regardless of price.

What I needed in order of importance for a headset system was:
Can I hear GPS instructions and passenger voice with ear plugs at highway speeds? Answer is yes, even with my very loud tinnitus at speeds of 60 mph or less.
Comfortable. Some helmets require a little surgery to make the speakers comfortable. No alterations necessary on a Shoei RF1000. Arai Profile was a pain for my wifes ears and a pain to make it comfortable for her, however, after 9 hours last week only her butt was hurting. Surgery successful!
Very good battery life. Going strong the other day at 9 hours plus but was not listening to music.
Does not disconnect after turning it on.
Don't care about the fm radio. If you're getting it for that, you might consider something else. Poor fidelity and hard to change the channel.

Never ordered anything from them before but it shipped the same day I ordered it. Seems like a good deal and a reputable company

Wow. That is a great price. Did those definitely include the MP3 input?
If so, I need to switch vendors. Thanks for the posts.
