DL650 Orange Gas tank FS cheap

Pretty much new. I showed some daffy-like skill and purchased the non-california version of the tank from a private seller (who probably did the same thing) for my california model bike. I'll let it go for actual shipping cost + $100).

This is just the tank. You will need the cap, fuel pump assembly, cushions (2 rear, one to sit right above the air-box), the mounting bracket for the front and the grommets to install it.

Have you trashed your tank and want a new one? Make me an offer.

I don't get it unless the orange was a custom paint job. Orange is only available in '09 models. All '07 and later models are 50 state models. They all have plumbing for a charcoal canister.

That's why I wasn't thinking it would be an issue when I purchased it. It looks pretty much new. In looking at some of the online parts places, you can purchase '09 tanks with or without the E33 plumbing, so I'm guessing person A bought it, then figured out problem, sold it to me. I was dumb, so now I get to pay the piper. I guess I should have figured out that it is odd for someone to have a new tank and be selling it. I did get it pretty cheap (New they are like 600-800).

Still, its an expensive mistake, but in the grand scheme of things, not terrible. So I figure if someone else needs a tank on the cheap, I have a deal for them...if not, I guess I have a neat garage decoration. Either way, when all is said and done, I will have an orange 07 ABS model and a much greater understanding of many aspects of my bike. I just wish my lessons weren't so expensive. :(
