This is the PERFECT bike for commuting during the week, and camping trips / "Adventure Riding" on the weekend. A new baby means camping trips will be of the 4-wheel variety for a while, and a new job working from home means no commute, so I just don't have a need for my beloved Strom anymore.
I bought this bike new, and broke it in using the Mototune method (http://www.mototuneusa.com/break_in_secrets.htm). I've put 9502 completely trouble-free miles on it since then. Oil and filter were changed at approx. 30 miles, 100 miles, 1000 miles, and every 3000 miles (or less) after that. Only AMSoil synthetic used since 1000 mile change. It uses no oil between changes. Tires are newer Bridgestone Battle Wings, with approx. 1500 miles. Bike is in great shape; has normal, minor scuffs and scratches from use, but no damage and no problems. Bike runs beautifully; everything works as it should.
Includes well over $2000 in upgrades/accessories. Bike is set up for a tall guy--the custom seat by Don at Mr. Ed's Moto in Albany puts the riding position about 2" up and back from stock, and is SO much more comfortable than the stock seat. ROX adjustable risers move the controls up and back to match. Brake lines were lengthened to accomodate risers. Mirror mount extenders move the mirrors up and out from the stock position, allowing a view of something other than your shoulders.
Also included:
* SW Motech skidplate and crashbars
* Caribou topcase, quick-release sidecases, and rack, all locks (cases and locking quick-release mounts) are keyed alike (http://cariboucases.com)
* Garmin 276C+ GPS with RAM mount and hardwired 12v power. GPS Audio output is also wired back to underseat area for use with an audio/intercom system (not included).
* Rapid Transit Recon 19 Tankbag
* Hyperlites (http://www.hyperlites.com)
* Dual air horns on relay
* New Givi windshield; not installed
* New Pat Walsh radar shelf and Light Bar; not installed (http://www.patwalshdesigns.com/)
Clean title in hand. $6500, cash only. Thanks for looking!
