Going to Newfoundland this summer, so I'm whiling away the hours at work planning our route from Oakville, Ont.
I see a way to save some hours by going to Sherbrooke, QC, then going cross-country into Maine at Coburn Gore, then down to I95 and eventually re-entering Canada at Calais.
It looks like pretty wild country between Coburn Gore and Augusta and we would be getting into that territory around supper time, which makes me wonder about gas, food and lodging.
What do you think of this route? It looks more interesting than just riding along I90/I95 or going 401 and 20 along the St. Lawrence.
Any opinions welcome!
Cheers, Tony
