I've been thinking of mounting a pair of whitetail antlers to the front of my strom Boss Hog style. There are some many farkles out there that you can do but most of them are functional...down with functionality and up with...um, uh uniqueredneckness. I guess I could dry out socks and towels on them on camping trips to satisfy the functional side of me. Anyone ever do something like this have any tips on how to mount them or any pictures. Wifey is against it...I think she's jealous as I'll have a bigger rack than her.

Sounds like a great way to perforate yourself in the event of an accident.
I don't see the harm in trying it. I bet some criminal goofball would try to steal or break your setup when you left your bike alone, though.

Maybe you could mount some elk antlers as replacement ape-hanger handlebars. Decorative AND functional. :bom_antlers:

Sure...go for it! Washington DC could probably use a Redneck or two to balance things out. :bom_antlers:

They would give you a great way to scratch your back at rest stops!
Around Christmas time, you'd have to add a big red nose and jingle bells.

my dc friends almost expect me to do these kinds of things. i fixed up some squirrel stew for them this past winter, so they knew to expect anything. all of them tried it except one and she's pretty finicky anyway.
i might have to change the name of my bike to 'little buck'. i ride to work every day and park next to 40 other bikes on the street...can't beat free street parking in downtown dc for motorcycles! i'm sure i'd raise a few eyebrows.

If you do mount the antlers, make sure you know when to stop!

holy crap....i have antler envy now after looking at that picture. my antlers are just a mere eight points from a whitetail with rather tiny tines compared to the elk antlers. you think that is actually someone's bike or did it come from a movie?
another option:

On the backroads around here, with antlers on your bike, you better be wearing Kevlar.
