I have a Corbin Dual Canyon that is a great seat, but I need something that sets me up and back. My inseam is 36" and so I know I would be comfortable with a taller seat. I traded my 650 seat for a 1000 seat, but would still like something a couple of inches taller. If you have something to trade or any suggestions, let me know.

I've got 2 stock seats also, I'd really like to try one of the ones I mentioned. How many miles a day do you commute?

I also have a gel seat that came with my 2006 DL650 that I could part with since I went to a lower seat (bought used stock and his it lowered at Spenser). I am not sure what kind of "gel" seat (Sujuki or other mod) it is but it is taller than stock and pretty comfortable. I lowered my bike 3/4" with links, gel seat has the rubber bumpers removed but I was still up on balls of feet and toes with it more than I liked (30-inch inseam).
I am not sure if it will set you back as much as you would like but the ridge is about and inch behind the dimpled part of the vinyl a bit [photo].
If you have any interest we can exchange more photos/info. How low is your seat compared to stock?

The Corbin seems to sit about the same height as stock. It is great except that the angle of my knee bend is not right because of how long my legs are.
I traded my stock 650 seat for a stock 1000 seat, which seems about an inch taller.
I tried the stock seat with an aqua-aire cushion which raised me another 2 inches. That seems to be the right height. The cushion is fine for the freeway, but not so much for more aggressive riding.
I am guessing that means I would have to get a custom-fitted seat if I want that height. Was hoping someone might have one that they found was too tall for them.

I have (I believe) the "Tall Touring Seat". It is in excellent condition, very comfortable but may be a tad too tall for me.

halfast3 here. I'm about to become the new owner of Cra1g's 07 Wee ABS which is "... set up for a tall guy--the custom seat by Don at Mr. Ed's Moto in Albany puts the riding position about 2" up and back from stock, and is SO much more comfortable than the stock seat."
See photo here http://www.stromtrooper.com/showthread.php?t=37602
Being the opposite of a "tall guy". I'll need to get a shorter seat and will consider offers to that end. While I find the stock seat to be comfortable on a short ride, I've had Corbin's in the past and prefer the way they feel at the end of a 400+ mile day.
So if you have a quality aftermarket seat which more or less maintains the stock seat height, perhaps we can work out a trade.
I'd also be interested in a late model stock seat if the price is right...
