There has been a huge discussion about this over on ADV. I'll try and find the thread later.
Edit: Oh well, couldn't resist. Here it is: ADV Rider - Tiezms (http://www.advrider.com/forums/showthread.php?t=433219)
I like it okay, but think I'll hold out for Ver 2.0. A two-piece would be nice.

Hello folks,
There are a lot of updates this time:
How to score a great deal
The most important news – the amazing new combo deal. Buy both suits for a low price of $499. Yes, a mesh riding suit AND a vented riding suit, for $499. Plus we will discount the shipping as well. You will be hard pressed unable to find a deal even close to this. To avail this offer you must place an order before March 31st. Riders that have already placed orders and want to upgrade to this option, please email us and we will give you directions on how to do so. Here is the link if you want to place an order:
http://teizms.com/vent-plus-mesh.html
See the suit in person
If you want to check out the suit in person, try these stores:
Zak’s Garage – 8857 South 700 East, Sandy, UT, 84070 (they have already received a vented suit)
SF Moto - 275 8th St, San Francisco, CA, 94103 (will be receiving both versions next week)
See a video of the suit
MotoSportsBusiness.com recently posted a video of the suit shot at the Dealer Expo. Check it out:
http://www.motosportsbusiness.com/teiz-riding-suit-from-indy-dealer-expo/
Some website related updates:
The ghost image appearing in some browsers has been taken care of.
The charts/comparisons page has been updated. You do not need to download pdf files anymore, as the charts appear as images.
http://teizms.com/comparisons-charts
The size chart has been updated and includes comments on how to use the chart. It has its own dedicated page now.
http://teizms.com/sizechart
The color swatches are also available for you to check out:
http://teizms.com/product-features
Our warranty and return policy is also on the website:
http://teizms.com/customer-service
Answers to your questions:
There are is a lot of concern about how waterproof the suit is. So we decided to make a page dedicated to explaining that. We will keep adding content as necessary (based on the questions you ask):
http://teizms.com/waterproof
Folks are also asking a lot about tall sizes. Please post on this thread so that we keep your info in mind when we revise our sizes. We want to make products that you folks demand and if that means making tall sizes than that’s how it will be. Just keep us informed on what you want.
http://teizms.com/forums/index.php?topic=6.0
About the love-it/hate-it knee sliders issue. Please do remember that the knee sliders are attached via velcro and can be removed. We will be introducing knee slider patch covers later this year. You will be able to take off the knee sliders and put on these patch covers instead so that the velcro patch is not visible. Please keep in mind that this suit is not just for touring but also for street riding and sport-touring so some people demand knee sliders. Look at it this way, “other companies” charge you $50 ( yes FIFTY!!!) to sow in knee slider patches and an additional $47 for the knee sliders. Plus, for what it’s worth, I think they look pretty cool .
Lastly, yes the 2-piece version is being worked on. We do not have a release date yet.
We are receiving a lot of queries and are trying our best to keep up with them. Usually we respond to most questions in less than 48 hrs. However, if we have not got back to you in 48 hrs, feel free to send us a reminder and we will make sure all your concerns are addressed.
Appreciation
Before signing off, I want to thank all the riders out there who have showed us their support on forums, email lists and directly to us over the phone and email. We really appreciate all your comments. Your feedback is extremely important. Keep it coming…. and happy pre-ordering ….
Thank you for your time

All,
On Teiz Motorsports forum, the statement was made that these suits are not made of true Cordura, but instead of heavy polyester and nylon. How much difference does that make in performance?
Thanks,

polyester will melt to your skin.
The topic of polyester vs. cordura etc has been :beatdeadhorse5: in the past.
If you don't think cordura melts, take a match to it.
Technically all synthetics used for mc gear are pretty much one form of polyester/nylon and will melt if enough heat is applied.

Hello folks,
Proving yet again that Teiz Motorsports is a customer oriented company, we have three big announcements:
1) Availability of Hi-Viz colors
2) Availability of Tall sizes
3) Design Competition
Hi-Viz Colors
You can now order the Vented suit in two additional colors:
• Hi-Viz Yellow
• Hi-Viz Orange
If ordered before March 31st, your Hi-Viz suit will be ready to be shipped by May 31st. Order a Hi-Viz suit and burn some retinas.
Tall Sizes
Rejoice tall riders (with those 33”+ seat heights). THREE tall sizes have been added to our portfolio. We now offer L-Tall, XL-Tall and 2XL-Tall. You can now order these from our website.
Design Competition
We are bringing out a new version of the suit in leather for those who prefer killing cows. We want to incorporate your input from the beginning. If you think you have a good design, send it over to us and you might win big! If you just want to share ideas, express them on our forums:
http://teizms.com/forums/index.php?board=6.0
You can find details at the link below. Essentially, submit a design and if you win, you will win a suit once it comes out.
www.teizms.com/competition
Other brief updates
• SF Moto in San Francisco now have a L,XL and 2XL in stock so you can visit the store and see the suits in person.
• The about us page has been updated
www.teizms.com/about-us
That’s the update for now folks. I hope I made several people happy with the availability of Hi-Viz colors and tall sizes. I know that riders hoping for short sizes are disappointed, but trust me, we are working on that as well. We will try to introduce short sizes in the next few months. Stay tuned.

Ghazi,
Good for you for developing and producing a product that flies into the face of a known leader, and at half the price!
I have to admit that, as much as I have wanted an Aerostitch, I'm simply unwilling to put out the $$ for one; add to that fact that I need custome sizing, it's always been too expensive to consider.
Now that you're about to start production, I'm anxious for the 2 piece suit come out.
Thanks!

I have been wanting a "stich" for many years now but I don't have a extra $800-1000.00 laying around so I have been saving alittle bit when I can.BUT as always something happens and I spend the money, like today when my NEW HJC IS-Max helmet arrived.:).Anyway the reason I wanted a stich was because of there reputation among hard core riders. What I'm hoping will happen is that in 5-10 years from now hard core riders will be saying how GREAT the TEIZMS suit is and I will be one of them.

I would like to purchase a suit that I could use in hot weather that would vent exceptionally well and that would be easy to get on and off. My plan would be to wear shorts and light shirt underneath for walking about. Are any of your suits designed for this purpose? I was considering Olympia's mesh suit that is designed for warm weather. Thanks for your help.

Hello folks,
The Version 1.0 of the suit will incorporate the following updates based on the feedback we have received and further testing of the suits:
a) The hydration pack pocket on the back has been redesigned and looks a lot neater
b) The shin armor has been upgraded to CE approved shin armor
c) The knee armor is now adjustable
d) Increase in torso and inseam lengths for all sizes
e) Overall improvement in build quality
In the next few weeks we expect the following magazines/sites to post reviews:

• Urban Moto
• BMW Owner News
• Road Bike Magazine
• American Motorcyclist
• Motorcycle Riders Club of America

How to use the size chart.
All the measurements listed in the chart are of the rider’s body, not of the suit.
Based on those measurements, the suit size will be such that it can accommodate the rider comfortably.
For example, the size Large lists a torso length of 30”. The suit itself will be longer than 30” to make sure you are comfortable.
So what does the increase in length mentioned in the newsletter mean? Originally, the suit was approx 31” in the torso for a rider that measured 30”. Now, the suit will be approx 32” to ensure slightly more comfortable fit.
The inseam of the suit too, is now approx 2” longer than the inseam listed on the chart. This ensures that the suit is long enough when the pants rise in the riding position.
So, in summary, please remember that the measurements in the chart are of the rider.
Please let me know if there are any confusions

Hi,
We have a flat rate of $25 for shipping anywhere within the United States.
For the size and weight of the package, it is reasonable because it includes all packaging costs, handling fees, frieght charges etc.

Everyone is built differntly. We have tried to generalize our sizing and expand our size offering as much as we could but there will still be a few people who are a bit difficult to fit. Even if two people are the same height, they can have different torso lengths , chest size and so on. So, i apologize in advance if people have had a problem in the fitting. Based on feedback we will be adjusting our size chart as well. At this point, the most recurring issue has been the torso. I have tried to highlight this on the website and in the forums. Again, the torso is the most important measurment. Even then, sometimes, just due to some odd unexplainable reason, the suit might not fit. You are welcome to return the suit to us and can read our policies on our website. If you like our product but cant find the right size, we are offering custom sizing as well.

All,
I posted this on one of the "other" forums, but thought I'd share it here as well.
I commuted a few days (120 mile round trip)this week in the vented suit(not mesh). Here are a few comments:
1. Rode home on an afternoon in the mid to upper 70's. No problem with overheating, sweating, etc. It was perfectly comfortable.
2. Rode home on an afternoon at 90 degrees. It was doable, but was a little warm. The ride was around 20 min of stop and go traffic, followed by 60 minutes of riding around 50 MPH. I was sweaty when I reached my house, but not overheated in any way. The sweat actually seemed to help with the cooling, once I started moving. I did take my dress shirt off before I left work, riding with my T shirt on.
3. Rode to work in morning, started off around 42 degrees. No problem at all, without the liner. I had normal dress clothes on under the suit (no jacket).
4. Rode to work in morning, starting around 60 degrees. Had all vents open and ride was perfectly comfortable.
5. The adjustment tabs (velcro) on the wrists get in the way of my mid-weight glove gauntlets in the morning, but not my summer weight gloves in afternoon.
6. I had to run my headphones in through the slash pocket in the side of the suit. I keep my XM radio in my tank back, so the only opening I could find to bring the headphones in through was to open the side pocket slightly. With a jacket on I usually bring the cord in under the bottom of the jacket, and out through either the collar or a dedicated headphone opening. This is not possible with a full lenght suit. Maybe a small opening for this could be added?
7. With my short legs (all my height is in my torso), the legs of the suit bagged up a little, causing them to rub together when I walk. When they do, the velcro on the legs wants to grab the other leg. Kind of annoying, but not a deal breaker by any means.
All in all I'm very happy with the suit. I don't think I'll use it to commute through the hottest parts of summer, but otherwise it should work very well. I'll post pictures as soon as I can get my wife to take some.

Almost 7 weeks to the day since ordering. I'd say that puts them doing pretty well on their shipping estimates. 1st 1pc I've ever had on, and won't be riding for a day or 2 since we're having our coldest (and rain/snow-iest) weather so far this year, so comments will have to wait till I've done more than just sit on the bike. But... Haven't seen many pics of the Hi-viz yellow, so here's a couple.

Newsletter December,2009
Hello folks,
A big thanks to all of you who turned up at the shows and helped us make them a success!
The logistics of attending multiple shows are very challenging and hence we are not going to be able to attend the entire tour. So to make it up to the people who wanted to come see us at their local shows, we want to extend our discounted show prices. We are calling it “The Original” sale as now you can have the new Lombard and Mojave suits at exactly the same price as the Version 1.0 suits: $289 and $249 respectively. Our bestseller combo deal is also discounted to its original version 1.0 price of $499. That means that you can get both the Lombard and the Mojave ( completed with all the updates and upgrades) for just $499! This deal is only valid till midnight 12/23/09 (Wednesday) after which the suit prices go back up.
Along with the sale, our Ventura jacket is also being offered at a special introductory price of $175. This dual-sport 5/8th length 4 season jacket was a hit at the shows. Featuring 2 removable liners, YKK main zippers, multiple vents (including underarms) and waterproof pockets, this is how Teiz does the 2 piece suit. Just go through the specs of this jacket, you will see why it is an incredible value and a must have for any one with the words adventure, tour or versatility on their requirements checklist. My personal favorite feature is how the rider can remove all the liners and open up those eleven vents for unparalleled airflow. Matching pants will also be available very soon.
One more very important point. The warranty policy on our products has been upgraded. Now we also offer a limited lifetime warranty. Visit the FAQ page for details (www.teizms.com/faq).
Please note that promotional prices are restricted to in-stock items. If you place an order for an out of stock item, you will be contacted for the balance payment before your order can be manufactured.
If you want to purchase a combo but one of the suits you need is out of stock, we will discount the pre-order by $20.
Product Lineup
Below are brief descriptions of some of our products.
Lombard: 1pc Textile Vented Riding Suit
The first version of this suit started it all. Launched in February 2009 at the Dealer Expo in Indianapolis, the Teiz riding suit was the most affordable and feature rich suit in the market. In its second revision, named Lombard, it still is the most affordable and feature rich but also hosts several improvements.
Mojave: 1pc Textile Mesh Riding Suit
This is an all-new design replacing our previous mesh riding suit. To keep it short and simple: It flows more air than any other suit or jacket/pants combo out there – GUARANTEED. So if you ride (on or off road) regularly in temperatures higher than 80 degrees, this is a no brainer.
Ventura: Textile Vented 5/8th Jacket
The only textile jacket you will ever need. 11 vents combined with removable waterproof and thermal liners make for the most versatile jacket ever made. Go from freezing temperatures to rain (don’t forget to pull out the built in rain hood) to blazing heat, this jacket is able to adjust accordingly.
If there are any questions feel free to give us a call or shoot us an email.

OK, so it sucks to be short 'n fat. Yes, I know I can change one of those two things. Anyway, I took a shot and ordered one of the Teiz suits that would fit my shoulders, but it looks a little long:
http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc3/hs147.snc3/17443_1335829685954_1537448812_871631_2499026_n.jp g
Notwithstanding the fit, I do really like the suit and I've been talking to Ghazi about a customized one. He's been very helpful. Hopefully I'll be showing off a properly fitting suit in a few weeks.

If you have been following Teiz Motorsports for the past few weeks, you may be wondering about all the changes on the website and product lineup. I think I need to take some time to explain our vision and what to expect from Teiz Motorsports.
Our specialty is (and will remain) riding suits. We now offer the following variations of our riding suit:
i) Lombard - Textile ventilated one piece
ii) Mojave - Textile mesh one piece
iii) Alcatraz - Leather ventilated one piece
iv) Diego - Leather mesh one piece
v) Textile 2 piece ( 1 jacket option and 2 pants options)
vi) Leather 2 piece ( 2 jacket options and 2 pants options)
These products are our main focus and you will see updates/improvements on a continuous basis.
Along with these products, Teiz has introduced some accessories and jeans which are meant to complement these products. These new accessories are already established and proven products in international markets (under various brands).
Along with these accessories, Teiz Motorsports now also carries some very cool touring accessories including Blinc Bluetooth Helmets, Shad Luggage, Venture Heated Gear, Chatterbox Electronics, Adaptiv TPX Radar Detector and HelmetSecure Helmet Lock.
The above products along with Teiz accessories are being introduced for only one reason: To offer our customers a great way to save. When purchased with Teiz Motorsports riding gear, we will offer you incredible savings on your purchase
So don’t worry, we aren’t trying to dip our fingers into everything out there. We just cut back on gloves to ensure our focus stays on what we currently do well. All we are trying to do is ensure that you can get a good deal when you buy from us.

Thank you for stepping up and giving riders another choice of apparel.
I do have one question. Where are these products manufactured?

Most likely India, where all the really inexpensive leather and textile gear is coming from these days.

Based on this article...look at the very bottom, Pakistan
http://www.webbikeworld.com/r4/teiz-cross-continent-suit/
http://www.rozee.pk/company-details.php?compid=23101
It doesn't really matter these days IMO.....as long as both the quality control, materials used, and customer service are in line, all is good.
With a product like this, which is very inexpensive, it gets people talking....A LOT!
If the product was crap, and there were issues, it would spread like wildfire on the motorcycle forums.....most I have read is relatively positive....has had some growing pains, but appears to listen to the riders, and has made changes based on valuable feedback in the community.

hello,
Sorry about the late reply but here goes:
Yes the products are made in Pakistan. Many leading motorcycle brands are actually manufacturing their equipment in Pakistan. Pakistan is very strong in this industry. Additionally, we take all possible steps to ensure that our level of quality if mantained.
The suits were originally $289 and since then we have updated them significantly including YKK main zippers. We now also offer a limited lifetime warranty on parts. Hence the price has increased to $329 which still qualifies to be the lowest price one piece suit in the market.
As mentioned above, all our designed are updated regularly based on customer feedback.. Here are some pictures of our latest Ventura jacket and Timoteo pants being tested at temperatures between 30-50 degrees.

Well...they look nice - do you have any tests by impartial people/magazines?..With all respect pictures don't really prove anything. Submit one of your suits to a respected trade publication - or someone from the forums to do a complete test.

OK, so it sucks to be short 'n fat. [some deleted] I do really like the suit and I've been talking to Ghazi about a customized one. He's been very helpful. Hopefully I'll be showing off a properly fitting suit in a few weeks.
I received my custom Teiz suit today. All I have so far is a crappy iphone pic, but the custom suit fits great:
http://photos-e.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-ash1/hs492.ash1/26888_1378725198315_1537448812_956959_3810517_n.jp g
Of course, it started to rain as soon as the suit arrived, and I decided not to get the suit dirty on it's first ride. Very warm with the insulated liner in. I was sweating within a couple minutes while I was inside the house.
Looks great, but I'll post again after I've had a chance to ride with it a little.
