I gather they are talking barkbusters [I think the review referred to them as knuckle gards], Hard bags which to me look at a little wierd.

Centerstand ?

Anything else available ? Can you get any of these bits now ?

What aftermarket bits off the DL1000 are transferrable ?

PS Most of the shops in Ontario have 1 or 2 on the floor

My local dealer doesn't have the accessories in yet. Once they are in, I'll report back on which DL1000 bits fit the DL650. The '04 accessories catalog isn't much help on that.

One thing I found: the K&N air filter won't be the same as the SV650. So we'll probably be waiting on that for a while.

Hmm. After looking up the air filter, it looks to be the same as the DL1000.

I talked to Givi this weekend and the hard cases and revised mounting gear are on the way. Should be in the US this or next week. Available in the UK now.

That reminds me.. here are my updates.

* laminar lip: they are working on it. Sounds like they really need a windshield to play with.

* jastek engineering (BMW-style accessory plugs): will be developing a 650 harness, if it is different than a 1000.

* twistedthrottle.net: I've sent two emails (one today, one about a week ago), and haven't heard back. I'd order a set of crash bars for the 650, and provide 650 application feedback, if I ever hear from him.

I'll be ordering my givi rack and boxes as soon as they come in.

Presumably, that applies to both the 650 and 1000.
