I was picking up an oil filter for my Strom yesterday when I saw a DL650 sitting there in the dealership, and had to go check it out. It seemed a little smaller (seat height) than my Strom, but that could just be the preload I guess. It definately felt lighter, all in all it seemed like a good bike, but I'm glad I have the 1000cc version. My last bike was a SV650, and the power upgrade on the DL1000 was amazing, I think the DL650 would be a great choice if you actually plan on going off highway, it seemed like it may be more nimble.
