Quick question 'bout factory bar ends

Hi all,

when I first got my 08 Wee I added Acerbis handguards which necessitated the removal of the factory bar end weights. Anyhow, I'm switching to the Suzuki handguards & must reinstall the bar ends. Is the (larger) silver washer used to put the bar ends back on? I have two of them in the bag that I used to store the orig bar ends & I can't seem to figure out their purpose. I am thinking maybe it was left over from the Acerbis hardware install kit?
