Ride Texas Magazines Top 10 Roads in TX

Did any of you strommers read the March 06 Ride Texas Magazine and check out the top 10 roads? I have to admit this was the first time I have read the magazine and I thought it was pretty good. I have only been on one of the top 10 roads (#3 north of Denton) but I plan on doing the rest of the Top 10 this year.

Get the magazine, read it, and comment or add to the top 10 list. I have a lot of riding to make up for!

It also breaks down the top roads by region. Pretty good stuff.

I checked a couple of placed and couldn't find the magazine. Would you mind posting the list? I'd love to know what the top ten are.

I know mostly Southwest side stuff - this will take you to Hico where you can get a bite at the Koffee Kup.

Take US67 south out of DFW thru Midlothian:
US287 west to FM157 to just before Mansfield
FM 157 south to Venus
back west on 67 (boring until past Cleburne)
take FM1434 south
take FM200 west
back west on 67 thru Glen Rose
west side of Glen Rose - take FM205 north/west (right turn)
south on FM51
back east on US67
south on FM203 to Walnut Springs
FM927 to Iredell
link up with SH6 west into Hico, KK is on right about 1/4 mile past SH220
rest & eat
back east on SH6
north on SH220
north/west on FM2481 all the way to Bluff Dale
west on US377
north/west on FM1188 towards Morgan's Mill
north on FM1189 to Lipan.
continue north on 1189 to Dennis and Brock to I20
slab east back to home.

My route today (good except for slabs on I35):
start - Arlington
I20 west
I35W south to Temple (stop there to collect group)
I35 south
US190 west
FM1670 south over the dam
FM2484 west
some county road that got us over to FM2483 and into Florence
north on SH195
west on SH138
north/west on US183 to Lampasas
south on US281 thru Marble Falls to Round Mountain
east on FM962 - becomes Hamilton Pool Road
south on FM12 to Dripping Springs
east on FM150 to Kyle
ate at the Pie Company in Kyle
slabbed I35/I35W back home...

Stromette will be in SW TX next wkend very, very briefly. Plan to do a SaddleSore 1000 all w/in TX (gotta have the TX pin ya know) in the not too distant future. Any suggestions for a route starting in El Paso?
