SpeedStar - Tank Guards

I have added these tank guards to my V-Strom product offering. They are sized perfectly to the rear tank area just above the seat. Same material as the masks. They are $20 delivered. They go on very easily and can be removed later if needed.

you got those in Flat Black?

You know Devin, if you make a really big one to cover the entire tank, you would have a cool looking bike, and I would even ride with you.

I have the flat black. I purchased a tank guard (made especially for the Wee) before reading the instructions. "Do not use on flat or matt paint surfaces".

I wonder why.

Matte surfaces are prone to scratching and also maybe the adhesive used on your guards were more agressive and the matte surface would show signs of adhesive residue if removed later.

The 3M adhesive on my guards can be removed with a little heat from a blow dryer and WD40 or Goo-be-Gone.
