I came across these MotoSport's website and was surprised to see large aluminum panniers, mounts and liner bags for less than Jesses, TT, H&B, Happy Trails.
Too good to be true? Anyone have them?

I guess if I'd googled motorsportpanniers instead of "MotoSport" as mentioned in the post I would have had it in 5 seconds as well. . . . :D

btw I looked at the info on the website and remember talking to them a year ago when I was trying to decide between the Motorsport panniers, the HT's and the Jesse stuff.

They didn't have brackets for the 6Fiddy then (still not on the website) so I went with the Jesse bags....had some problems, returned them and got the HT boxes. Been using them almost a year. . . . Bulletproof so far.

Just givin' ya a little web grief.

I'm interested to hear how these compare to the Happy Trails setup. I love the look of the Jesse's but don't like the stuff I've been reading (no more slinging poop here)... so I had decided to go with the HT's.

At $885 for black cases, that's a decent price! I like not being gouged for a color choice. :D

Their website says that they make soft luggage (Yukon ll) for the WeeStrom and that their soft luggage fits the same mounting system used for their hard luggage. Ergo, unless the laws of logic have changed since I was in college, hard luggage should work on the Wee. In any case, I left them a msg. and will report back when they reply.
BTW, the soft luggage looks like a good deal, too. Backed with alum. plate for shape, complete with mounts and liner bags for 450.
Anybody have the MotoSport aluminum panniers?

The correct web site for the panniers is: http://www.moto-sportpanniers.com/

I used them on my XR600. The pannier racks are very high quality and fit perfectly. I was able to purchase the aluminum boxes from his associate in Orange County a few miles up the road from me in San Diego. Ove is his name and he frequently has "seconds" available if you are willing to wait. The seconds usually are not powder coated and may have scratches and a repair area on them that he has welded and sanded smooth. I used them on a trip on the XR600 and was happy with them.

When I bought my 1999 F650, I wanted some inexpensive boxes and went back to Ove for more. He had 2 of the black Bavaria boxes that a guy had backed out of. In less than a week he fabricated the rack and I drove the bike up for him to personally fit the rack on my bike at no extra charge. The Bavaria's have a lock and you can add a separate lock if you want. They are secured with a hex head bolt from the inside and no one can rip them off unless they tear open the box and destroy them. The tops remove completely if you want to take them off. They are very well made. I bought my racks and boxes for a total of $650 and they came with nylon bag liners. They are a good value for the money. Not sure why Ove is in SoCal and his "partner is in Colorado. But Ove does great work. Ove's phone number is (714) 850-0829.

I have SW Motech and Zarge's boxes on my Wee and like them better only because of the ease of removal and the ability to remove the rack quickly if I wanted (which I have not done since installing them last year).
