Mexico 2007...looking for input!

I am planning to travel thru the southern US, into Mexico starting in March 2007 with 5 weeks set aside for the trip on the strom. Has anyone out there biked thru Mexico and have any must do routes?
I am in the planning stage and looking for input....

I am trying to plan a trip to Baja--but timing and work has not permitted me a time I can nail down a plan yet.

For the mainland, I have heard the Copper Canyon area is spectalular on/off road riding very suitable for VStroms. Check into links of tours that do routes through that area for additional info. There are some tours that start at Copper Canyon, trek across to the Sea of Cortez, then take the ferry ride to La Paz and tour back up the Baja peninsula. I will most likely plan with a smaller group, but the info for routes and good stopping points is very helpful from some of the touring organizations.
