I'm back from a 5000 mile european trip and left the Strom in Athens with a friend and some road rash.

Since she was dropped a couple times I would like to replace the turn signals and have two questions.

Are these Lockhart Philips Flushmount IIIs still available? I saw some listed as Flushmount V on eBay, Are these a new and improved version?

Also, I assume that a DL650 used a single filament bulb?

The turn signals are single filament, as is witnessed by the fact that the turnsignals do not stay lit when not in use. The Flushmount III's are single filament, also.

Sorry, cannot answer your other questions.

I just see a couple of flushmount 3's on ebay, but it was a very quick search so whatever.

The DL's use a single filament bulb however when I got my flushmounts they had a great deal on dual filament lights so I got them and just wired an extra power wire so that I now have running lights.

Be advised that the dual filament bulbs for LP lights are solely availble from LP, not from any of your local parts stores. What a pain in the butt.

I broke down and decided to spend the extra money for these LED ones. I like the idea of not having to splice or fab anything because where the bike is in europe I would have to find and buy a couple tools or connectors.

The owner of the company actually called me this morning to say that if I can wait a couple weeks he has a new improved and less expensive version which will replace the currently offered model.

153.00 EUR = $218.631 USD !!!

I hope it's a cheaper version !

I used 'Flushmount III' as a search engine on google.com and found this:

Flushmount III (http://www.newportcycleparts.com/categories/electrical/turn_sigs-flush.htm)

When I bought mine through Ridegear.com(no longer available) they sold an inexpensive connector for the Flushmount III's that would plug right into the stock connector on my DL650, no stripping or soldering. I don't know if that connector is still available or not.

Also, I forgot to mention that the Flushmount III's might be offered with dual filament bulbs, so consider this if you choose to order.

The price on his website is actually in Canadian Dollars, still expensive but the USD is stronger.

They will just go in my suitcase with the Buell pegs, shifter lever and rear brake lever. I was a little hard on the strom ;)

Marauder:

I just got some Flushmount 3's from Chaparral:

See E-Nigma's thread on installation. His write up was very helpful, especially about taking care with the hole placements! (I still wound up with an extra hole!)

All in all, turned out pretty well, only took about anhour.
