Medical reasons are forcing me to sell my Wee, which I dearly love. A year from now I'll either be six foot under or buying another Wee. Let's hope for the latter :)

My question is about price. How much do you think I should try to sell this bike for. I don't want to de-farkle it but sell it all decked out.

2007 Wee
about 7,500 miles
Madstad
Large Givi Windscreen
Gel seat w/ butt pad
luggage attachments
Givi E21N sidecases and V46 topcase, with luggage rack, brake-light, interior light and reflect-guard
Givi crash-guards
Suzuki center stand
GPS mount
Grip puppies
4 year transferable Suzuki warranty

Never dropped, never crashed, perfect condition (some little rust spots on crashguards), dealer maintained.

I'm sure I spent close to 10 bills on it. Bike is in Oregon, USA. Any ideas?

Thanks.

Boris,

Sorry to hear about your health challenges. Our Prayers and Thoughts are out there for you.

To answer your question, the bike market is a little different these days from a couple of years ago, but in my opinion....this is what I would pass on. (By the way, I have been shopping for a Wee for my son for about 6 months and feel I have a good handle on the market.)

In today's market, a seller should feel good about getting Wholesale value, plus 50% of the original cost of the farkles. The HUGE plus to your bike is the 4 years left on the warranty.

In my opinion, I would think your bike could probably sell for about $6k-$6.5k.

Just for comparison....there is a guy in Chicago that has a 'mint' 2006 DL1000 (about 5k miles) with about $1,000 of farkles......and he has been trying to sell the bike for $5,800 for about 3 months.

The Fall/Winter months are not the time to have to sell a bike, especially in today's economy. If you can wait, you would probably get another $500 in March/April 2009.

Good luck, artcore!

Oregon is too pretty to leave it for the rest of us. I hope you are exploring it on two wheels for many years yet.

Can't help with the sale, but I hope that goes well too. You can look forward to the treat of buying and equipping a new Wee-Strom, and I hope that aspiration fortifies you.
