Sorry if this has been worn out elsewhere.. didn't find the info I seek.
If I buy the Zumo 550, can I (how?) listen to music through it via my bluetooth headset I already have mounted in my helmet?
if not, is there a GPS that functions as an MP3 player via bluetooth? I don't want to hard-wire any ear buds or anything like that.
thanks for any help -

You can, but it's mono only.

I had three problems with bluetooth on a Zumo. I couldn't get enough volume, it's monaural only, and the battery life was too short to play all day. I didn't want to go hard wired either. Now that I have though, I'm happy with it.

put your music on a SDRam card
I do not recommend bluetooth for helmets, as alread posted, you only get music in mono, also sound quality is not there to overcome high speed wind noise
I have my autocom hard wired to my gps, radar detector and my helmet, I also have a blue tooth adaptor, it's only function is to communicate with my cell phone, if I have it with me and turned on
the Autocom is slick, but pricey, the headset that goes in your helmet has a noise sensor so it cancells out wind noise, I can listen to quality stereo music over 100mph, if radar detector alarms, it over rides the music, same thing with GPS direction, bike to bike communication or my cell phone

+1 on what Pat said about not wanting to go wired. I also tried various bluetooth methods, but none of them cut it. Like Randy, I've got an Autocom and it's bulletproof, although I'm using earphones instead of the helmet speakers.
Amazon cut the price on my favorite earphones: Etymotic ER6i (http://www.amazon.com/Etymotic-Research-Isolator-Earphones-Black/dp/B000BQSGMM/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1228072113&sr=8-1)

The MP3 files on the SD card are best put in many separate directories. I do it by album. I don't think putting them in the root directory works and putting 2GB worth of tunes in one subdirectory takes ten minutes for the Zumo to fully boot up. Also, the Zumo has a limit of 1000 MP3 files per card it is able to read. http://www.zumoforums.com is the place to go for all Zumo questions.

I use the Camos BTH 500 paired via an iCombi dongle with my Nuvi. I'm able to get music in stereo and GPS directions in mono. My cell phone also pairs to the headset with no issues (yea, I know, but my job requires me to be in contact even when I'm off).
