Just wanted to post a quick review of the MP Cycle Designs shield.

I'm a tall rider -- 6'5" with a 36 inch inseam. Line of site above the gas tank cap is about 24.5 to 25 inches. Being tall, I'm used to having to compromise so I was a little skeptical of this windshield. But I read review after review of satisfied customers and had to give it a try.

Paul was very responsive and helpful and the windshield was delivered quickly and as promised.

I put one on my '05 DL650 and my first impression was "WOW". After several hundred miles, I am still thoroughly impressed. I have it in the highest position with no spacers. I used to have to ride with ear plugs due to all the wind noise. Now, I do not wear ear plugs, and all I really hear is the engine with a little background wind noise. Buffeting is non-existent except when there are strong cross winds. What more could you ask for?

The installation process was VERY easy. The installation instructions on the MP Cycle designs website looked pretty involved but these instructions apply to earlier model Stroms. On the newer models, it basically amounts to removing the old windshield and mounting bracket and installing the new bracket and windshield. No removal of the fairing or any other hullabaloo required. They also include a bunch of extra installation parts.

If you are looking for the best windshield for the V-strom, you can't go wrong with this one. It is a little pricey, but you know what they say...you get what you pay for!

Thanks for the revew. I returned my CalSci windshield - wasn't bad, just didn't impress me after riding with it and hitting the handguards.

Does the MP windshield interfere with the Suzuki handguards?

Also glad to hear the installation wasn't so hard - from the website it looked just a little  intimidating.....

I don't have the hand guards so I can't speak to that. I haven't heard of people having an issue with this though.

Mine hit and I can't lock the steering.
