Has anyone had any experience with this tire pump kit? Good - bad - otherwise?

Looks almost exactly like the kit I got from www.motopumps.com for $10 less; check them out.
I've used it once so far and it worked great.

Don, take a look in your current Canadian Tire flyer. They have a small air compressor on sale for $9.99. I have the same one, it works well and fits in behind the under-seat tool kit, just in front of the tail light.
Don't know if this will work, but here's a link to the page...

I 2nd this... Can't beat that little compressor. I've used mine dozens of times times both for myself and helping others. I have one in each car and was waiting for them to go on sale so I can add one to the Wee.
While your at CT you can get a tire plug kit for 5 bucks and an all weather 12 volt cigar outlet to power the compressor.
Princess Auto and Walmart are also good places to put a tire repair kit together. It'll cost a fraction of the kit that you linked too.
Good Luck

I have this kit also. It works good and it will set a bead as well.
I have the slime compressor that use to fit under my seat behind the toolkit. So more accurately -- I had the slime compressor. I took it out of the plastic housing to see if I could make it smaller to pack, since it obviously had lots of emptiness inside the housing so didn't fit well in there and it rattled around riding on dirt roads. [see, the whole point of having a mini 12V compressor is so I can ride out to gravel roads, lower the tire pressure, ride gravel, and when I get back on the black-top raise the pressure without too much work]
Turns out they stuck it in an over-sized plastic case for three reasons; heat, vibration and an open drive gear between the motor and the compressor-piston.
So now I'm trying to decide... continue rebuilding a smaller housing and find a better way to deal with the heat, vibration and open plastic gears OR find a way to install the unit as a component in the bike with wiring, air-hose and fittings.
The first drawback I've found to installing the housing-less compressor in the bike as a component is needing to carry about a meter of coiled air-hose. The 1 meter air-hose takes up lots more room than the existing housing and 2 meters of electrical wire. I was thinking the best place to locate the connection is where the helmet lock was, but now I'm wondering about doing two lines, one front, one back. Then I would only need about a 1/2 meter air-hose.
I expect I'll end up going back to what slime designed and just packing it inside of a shop towel - which would be nice to have along anyway.

Thanks - since I'll be making my weekly pilgrimage to Canadian Tire today or tomorrow, I think I'll pick one up.

I noticed last time was In CDa Tire over in auto accessories section they also had Bell 12V accessory adapters (female end) on a 3 foot cord with alligator clips. I carry one in the bike just in case I want to run something direct off battery. It was $5.99 I think.
Similarly, Princess Auto has same unit with 10 Ft cord coming on sale later this month. Nice compliment to the pump mentioned, especially if you don't have an accessory jack on the bike. I have two of those piumps mentioned - work well so far (3 years).
