I just received my marker lights the other day and I liked to put them on before my trip later this week. I was taking a look at how to uninstall the original front turn signals. I didn't have much luck uncliping the signal from the wiring harness. However, when I was taking a look at the new lights it seems that I might not need to? I'm completely new to any kind of wiring so sorry for the ignorance. The best way to describe the new lights is that their wires terminate into a very small gold bullet shaped piece with the hole at the top. My thinking is is that I could simply cut the wires from the orignal signal, strip the wire back about 1/4" and then stick into the hold and crimp it down. Is that the way those are supposed to work, or are they supposed to go into some harness that I should have purchased along with the marker lights?
I tried searching for a good write up, but I didn't have any luck....so sorry in advance if this is a repeat.

There is one large nut inside the fairing around the base of the lights. Unscrew that and the whole thing will come out. The electrical connector has a clip on one side. Lift the end of that clip and it will come apart.
I cut the connector off of my lights and spliced it onto the Lockhart-Phillips lights.

+1
It's a lot easier to be able to unclip than work under the fairing trying to crimp wires.

Thanks! That ended up being pretty easy. I wish they mounted a little more flush against the fairing than they do. I think I'll have to cut out some of that foam rubber to make it fit the contour of the bike if thats going to happen. For now I've only mounted with double sided carpet tape...

Silicone sealer works well. It's also available in black which matches that part of the fairing.
