Saw the factory units on the DL100, always wondered why they are not standard on the 650. Oh well. I shopped around a little for aftermarket units. I did not like the enduro-off road look. Ordered these little gems from my local dealer-Fairfield Cycle Center. They are sold as knuckle guards. They charged me shipping, I waited a week, and Viola(sp?).
The instructions were a little hard to understand, but the pictures cleared up any translation confusion. They spell spacer "spaser".
Took about 30 minutes, all parts (longer expander screws, bar-end adaptors, replacement clutch adjustment screw cover, adaptor screws, washers, nuts and bolts) are included.
They work great. Just big enough for wind(most) and (some) water protection, just small enough to not be bulky. I can now wear the same pair of gloves on my morning commute and the trip home in the afternoon.
Factory look is a bonus, too.
Recommeded upgrade.
Cost less than $60 OTD. :D
