I had Sonic Springs installed last night. 1st, I can not adequately communicate how generous and professional Rich Desmond is. It is worth mentioning in a day where impersonal or worse service can be so commonplace. He was "above and beyond" the call of duty with me, by a long way.

After the install, I had about a 40 - 50 mile ride to see what the before-and-after differences would be. It was dark - and I'm no hot rod for sure. Immediately noticeable was the solidness, the "planted" feeling, that I would liken to the difference between how an average sedan feels (wallows) compared to a good German road car. Not hard or uncomfortable, but significantly more solid, as if it's asking to be driven. I was soon on the interstate, as I needed to get home, it was dark, and I opted to avoid the 2 laners that would be loaded with skunks and possums and maybe deer. So... I'm cooking along, and noticed that I was doing (indicated) 90 mph.. That is fast for me.. what got me was that it felt like 50 or so. Hmmm, interesting. Finally neared home, some time on 2 laners, etc., and overall kind of giddy with the really nice improvement.

Maybe the only downside is, now I can feel that the rear end is mushy... so maybe down the road I'll replace that shock too, but no hurry there.

Total cost was $93 with oil.

I'm excited about the improvement, and the ride in to work this a.m. only confirmed my 1st impressions.

I whole heartedly echo your remarks about Rich Desmond and his products.

Look at adding a forkbrace of some type as well up front if you haven't already, (I didn't see it listed in your post.). I also installed Sonic Springs along with a Superbrace. Incredible difference in performance.

As for the rear shock, you may want to look at a Hyperpro shock. I have now ridden my Hyperpro #460 very hard for about 4,000 miles. I am very pleased with the perfomance of this shock, (the price doesn't poke a big hole in your wallet like some other aftermarket shocks can.), plus you will receive similar treatment from Klaus and Dee and you have from Rich Desmond.

actually I do have the Superbrace too and totally agree, it's a "must have" as well.

Riding this afternoon I was thinking about the springs vs. the brace...they basically compliment one another. I do not think their effect is redundant, but it's more like 1+1 = 3. With both you get a terrific improvement in tracking, stability, sure-footedness... etc..

anyway, it's nice to be treated so well and get a substantial improvement for not much $$.

and thanks for the advice for my rear end... I'll check into it.
