I've got about 200 miles on the Wee-Strom with a "tall" CalSci windscreen-this screen is great!!! Zero buffetting (a little bit of Jimmy Buffetting, tho), very little noise, and compliments the lines of the Strom nicely. Check these out!

Motorcycleinfo.calsci.com is also an excellant site for both general and Strom-specific information.

It'd sure be nice to find one that seems to work for a majority- I've been perusing the messages & there never seems to be any strong consensus. The CalSci is a strong contender from what I've read & I've been leaning towards that or the Windstrom. Did you have anything else before the CalSCi or just the stock windshield/

I had the stock shield before. What a difference! I'm 6' with a 33" inseam. If I did it over, I'd get the "medium" screen and use the second stock height setting when on trips and the "low" setting the rest of the time.

Just received it yesterday by FedEx. Going to put it on the motorcycle this afternoon & hopefully get it out for a ride.. ... ...

Let me know what you think of the CalSci screen. What size did you get?

Medium - I'm around 5'10 (depends how tired I am) and that's the size they recommended.
With the screen at the highest position I can just see over the top of the windshield. Seems to provde pretty good airflow around my helmet as I ride. Didn't have time to hit the freeway although I was able to get up to 60 mph or so.
This morning I rode it in 40 degree weather (yeah, I know, warm tropical breeze to you easterners) for about 1/2 hr and the screen kept most of the direct windblast off me. Didn't get too cold riding like that.
So far, so good...need to find the time to ride it a little longer & faster...

I like the CalSci windshield so far.
However:
I installed the Suzuki knuckle covers/handguards today and found they hit the screen when you try and turn full lock. Plexiglass is sharp enough that it scrapes the outside plastic of the knuckle covers. I drop my bike off and on so a little scratch doesn't bother me, but I wish it'd clear fully.
You can still turn the handlebars lock to lock, but you have to press gainst the screen slightly to do it. Can't say its a perfect fit, but I'm not going to send it back at this point....

That's weird-I have the Suzuki handguards on my 650 and they don't even come close to touching. Have you tried rotating the bars a little?

No, can't say that I have. They're in the same position as when I bought them (although I have been thinking of installing the gen mar risers).
Anyway, I'm returning the windscreen. It definitely deflected more air than stock but can't say that it overly impressed me,so I'm sending it back.
Didn't know I'd be charged $30 for the privilege of trying it out. There's a re-stocking fee. Guess I'll check that out before I try the next one...

Get the Givi screen!!!
I'll probably look at that one next as soon as I'm sure I've got the credit for returning the CalSci windshield....
or the Manta...
