To all interested in purchasing a high mount fender bracket, contact me through this site or email me verdung@wonderwave.net. I had 2 on ebay that I sold, and 2 that did not sell(had to pay out of pocket for no one to purchase). Oh well. Jstump bought one. I still have plenty of brackets, just need customers. Thank You:D

I have mounted this bracket and a aceribis supermoto front fender. Looks good! Took a bit of work, but here it is:

Looks good and I am ready to order... so how do I go about it? Are you the builder and fabricator of these? I will order as soon as I get location and details. Are these on ebay?

Where and how do we remount brake lines?

Thanks a lot, Paul

While the overall looks are good, I"m not sure on it's functionality. looks like a lot more debris/dirt willl be thrown higher on the bike.

You could be right but sometimes the looks are neat to. I am a 45 year dirt bike guy 62 years old so I like the looks to. Have you ever had your front wheel completely locked up with mud and had to dig err out with a stick to get moving again..haha.. no fun.

I see that you raised your bars an inch and wondered how you did this? How did you do the brake lines and where or how to did you raise the bars.

Bieks are allgood to keep you young gents, so have fun and cheers, D'dog

I think the high fender looks good on these bikes. My only concern is debris and dirt accumulating around the front fork seals. The stock fender seems to somewhat protect this area. When the fender is mounted high, as in the picture it appears that anything the front tire runs through is going to eventually get to the front seal area. Most dirt bikes protect this area with "gators" or some other means. Anyone have an idea how to protect a Strom with a high fender?

Though I see no practicality in a high fender on a Wee, it does look cool. What about adding a high fender, or at least the front part of one to make a beek, as in the GS style, while keeping the stock fender in place. This has been done before, but this bracket could make it less of a custom job for those of us who like the look but are not inclined to fabricate.

Still need clarity on the brake line business.

Thanks

If you ride in mud ever.. even if it ends up being on accident you will quickly find out the stock fender is worthless and will strand you quickly.

You will have to have new brake lines as the stock cross over line will hit the tire/fender when the suspension compresses. Just order a dual line kit.

Cool, I am going to order a dual brake line kit.. ..GH do you have an address for these?
I think the thread you started will have several of us pitting on the high fender.

I think if you guys will look a little closer you will see SEAL SAVERS on the forks. They make them now that are split with velcro closure so you do not have to remove the forks to install them.
SEAL-SAVER web site. They are usually in the $20 range and they do work.

Just email Blair and ask: b.layton@svracingparts.com
Make sure he knows you want a dual line kit!

You know looking at these pics, there may be a major benefit to the high-mounted guard that nobody's picked up on yet.

If you ever do water crossings you may have found out, as I did, that the air intake is not in an ideal location. Crossing a creek I went into a bit of a hole and was suddenly about a foot deeper than expected. (tip: when surveying a water crossing, walk ALL the way across, don't stop in the middle and say "yeah it'll be fine").

In this case what happens is, water sprays straight over the top of the mudguard and into the air intake. The Vee takes a big gulp and stops dead. Not fun clearing a gallon of water out of cylinders/throttle bodies.

The problem was not that the air intake was under water (it was at least a foot above water level), but just that water came over the top of the guard. SOOO.... it looks to me like the high-mounted guard would completely alleviate that problem. Those of you who have fitted them - does that sound right?

So will this work if you have a fork brace?

No it won't: You'd have to use alot of the suspension travel though. For normal riding you'll probably not have any clearance issues.

Wasn't somebody selling a "beak" kit on this site a while back? It was a fiberglass deal that gave that oh-so-desireable "GS" look? I think they were European...
