I know you are out there!
You can find me on the Katy HOV Everyday between 7:30 - 8:00 in the am
and 4:00- 4:30 in the pm.
However...... starting next week (9/1/08) you can catch me on the 290 HOV (same times) sinc the Katy HOV will be shut down for a couple of months.

Opus, you have a new strommer in your area. Just sold a red 05 Wee to a guy that lives in the south side of Houston....southeast I believe.

Opus, I commute from S. Mason to 290 and Telge when the rain chance is <30%. I ride an 85 XR350 and 83 Xl600 off road but wouldn't care to take the 05 DL 1K in the dirt. Where do you ride off road?

I'm just South of H-Town (dozen blocks from Toyota Ctr) and am a new StromTrooper as of 7.5 days ago when I bought my 2004 Wee...and then took my MSF Basic Riders Course Monday-Tuesday. What fun!

There is a county road just north of FM529 off of Katy-Hockley that runs west. I don't remember the road #. Anyway, if you take it west, past some baseball fields after 4-5 miles of pavement and some nice 90 degree turns, the road turns into gravel. Really nice out there, not really off road but off pavement. I used this road to kind of feel out the wee off pavement.
I have a good friend that lives outside of Bedias. He is 4-5 miles off of the pavement. From his place, you can really get into some off road riding.
Now the wee is by no means a great dirt bike, but I have had a ton of fun with mine in the dirt!

i ride the 59 hov from the north side to downtown almost daily. Try two wheeled Teaxans site lots of local strom riders there plus there is a bike night almost everynight of the week. They are having a pie run to marble falls on sunday 08/31. There is always some type of ride or another being scheduled.

I do check out TWT site once in a while. I will have to make it to one of the bike nights.

Opus, yeah, I've ridden my 051K on dirt roads and you are right, power sliding is a hoot. The best thing about my strom is a 2nd gear wheelie. I can't hold it up near as long as the 350 or 600 nor shift gears in the air but the feeling is great.
