I gave the Givi bars an unfortunate test lately and they passed - but now they have to be replaced. The one thing I didn't like about them was the difficulty removing the plastic body work with the Givi crash bars in place. I noticed on "twisted throttles" website that there are now 3 different crash bars for the VS - and also "frame sliders". Any recommendations on a replacement?

Get yourself a ball nosed allen key to remove the side panels. Bondus makes some. This way you can have the allen key at any angle to remove the screws.

Scooter - thanks - it's not the allen screws that I'm having a problem with - it's taking the plastic off the bike. With the Givi crash bars in place - plastic removal is a delicate operation...
