foot peg location?

I currently ride a DR650, but a friend has the VStrom and I have had the opportunity to ride it. Am getting more intereted in a possible purchase but one thing really bothers me. My pant leg seem to get hung up on the pegs when stopping. The pegs are positioned exactly where my feet natually want to go when touching down and the pegs feel very much in the way at a stop. If the pegs were slightly aft it would be a better location.
Is this just something one has to get used to, or can the pegs be repositioned? Anyone else bothered by this?

I have the same problem. I wish the pegs were back and up a little.

Yep. It's one of the few things that bugs me about my V-Strom. You get used to it after a few 100 miles, though.

I also had the same problem but the more I ride the less I notice it. I guess I have compensated.
