Warning for NEP CC4 users: front brake interference

In a different thread we have discussed various options for a throttle lock. Some of us (including me) have adapted an NEP CC4 for use on a Vstrom. Yesterday, I discovered that the front brake lever hits the CC4. This creates a potentially dangerous situation since it limits the front brake travel to about half-way. I have removed my CC4 while I look at other options.

In my case I changed the setting on the brake lever so that it wouldn't hit the CC4. I think I also groudn dow na little bit of the CC4 to be safe.

Now that I have switched to stainless lines and better brake pads there is no way I could hit the CC4 as my front wheel would lock up long before I got close.

could you say more about "changing the brake lever setting". What is that and how do you do it?

There's an adjustment knob on top of the brake lever with numbers engraved on it. Turn it and it increases or decreases brake lever travel.
