When I bought her(second hand), her color was old-man-grey.

Now she looks like that ... because I'm far too young for an old-man-grey bike.

I made just a few modifications:

Sorry friends, English is not my native language, but I try anyway.

1. Heating Grips
2. Hand Covers
3. Gear Display
4. Handlebar Mountings
5. Speed Display
6. Lamp Cover (already removed)
7. Strom-Pecker
8. 2 additional Lamps
9. cut Front Fender
10. Progressive Fork Springs
11. Steelflex Brake Pipes
12. EBC Sintermetall-Breakpads
13. special Air Vents (90 degree angle)
14. Front Fender Extension
15. BMC Airfilter
16. Cooler Cover
17. Roll Bar
18. Engine Cover
19. Gearshift Arm TL 1000
20. 16er Pinion
21. Main Stand
22. Wilbers-Spring for the Rear Wheel Suspension
23. 43 Chain Ring
24. Rear Whell Spacers (german V-StromForum)
25. Chain Guard
26. Rear Fender Extension
27. Top-Case Mounting
28. Seat (Cushion and Cover)
29. Blackbox to recalculate the Speed Display

Now, she lives up to her full potential.
Excellent engine, excellent suspension, excellent brakes and an optimal transmission.
She's now a real multi-purpose bike: She's a very good touring bike for 2 persons, you can drive her off-road and she has even a few genes from a super moto bike now.

I'm quite happy with her. :D

I like it because my favorite color scheme and graphics on any bike to this day is the DRZ400's that were being modifed for racing by Yoshimura and had all the blue/yellow colors with the Youshimura graphics. I wanted to do that to my old DRZ, but the graphics were too expensive.

I've got quite a few PM's about the front fender of my "battle cruiser":

Front fender extension: Not my idea, sorry. I saw a pic in the german V-Strom-Forum and

get in contact with the designer. She made just one for her self. I got her to make a

copy. So it's not a "just bolt on" fender extension.
It was horrible expensive (350 Euro / +shipping fees / = + 500 US$) til I get it here.

I had to cut it in the right size, cut the holes for the lamps and had to construct the

mounting. It's a lot of work.

If you like to get in contact to order a copy of this front fender contact Ivi under

her E-Mail-address.

I have a few pics but not specially the front fender alone.

I loaded the pics to my website. You can download them.

The other side

From below. You see the 3 attachement points.

The construction I did the the middle attachement point. I clamped it to the subframe

for the head-lights.

There is now another V-Strom (a 650 this time) with the same front fender. And a few of

you will like it more, because it's all black.
