Long Way Down will be on the big screens one night only this Thursday. A few of us are headed up to Quail Springs Mall (north OKC) to watch. Come join the fun!!

I can't understand this.
This "one night only" thread has popped up all over the Internet.
Did you guys in the states not get the program on TV?
Can you not buy the DVD with 5 times more footage than you will see in a movie for less than the cost of a single movie ticket?
I guess this is just one more marketing and money spinning event by the marketing organisation behind Ewan and Charlie. Or perhaps it's a way of getting you lot all hyped up for the Long way up to California on 2009.

No, not on TV here. Yes, I know about the DVD, a friend has one.
Seeing it on a big screen with a bunch of like-minded people seems like a good time. :)
