View Full Version : Sargent seat for V-strom
Not a review yet but thought I'd mention that Sargent now has a mention on their website that they are working on a seat for the V-strom. They allow you to put your name in to be notified when its ready and mention a discount for those interested in buying when they initially offer them. I've never been extremely happy with the stock seat but love the Sargent seat I have on another bike. Looking forward to seeing what they do with the Strom.

unfortunately that has been up there for quite a while. I've written them a couple of times with inquiries about the status of Strom saddle....and have gotten absolutely zilch back.

Is there anyone in Colorado with a Russell seat? It seems like it is the seat to have, but I don't like the idea of buying something I have never tried out.
Was just informed that sargent will have photos up soon on their website and expect to have seats available sometime in March. I plan to order one so will be glad to post a review when I have it!

Just curious, what don't you guys like about the seat on the 650? I have ridden mine 750 miles in a day without a sore fanny.

I can't speak for the fellas but for me it isn't so much a "sore fanny" issue but more of a problem with the stocker sliding me into the tank. From the pics on the Sargent site I'm not sure if theirs will be any different in that regard. :(

Each to his own. Mine is an '03 dl1K and I've done similar rides as you. To me the stock seat is just too soft. Wife feels the same way. Short rides I don't really have a problem but on the longer rides I want a little more support in that seat. Have to say I love the pic of the new seat on sargent's site. If it rides as nicely as the the sargent seat I got for my aprilia I'll be set.
