Bought a new 08 DL650 last month and really like this bike. Have about 4000 miles to date. I am 6' tall and understand wind buffeting/turbulence is a common problem for many DL riders.
Started experimenting by adjusting the stock windscreen to all positions and still had buffeting/turbulence problems. Cut out a .080" thick piece of black plastic from a new trash can and made a fairing with improved air flow results. Modified the stock windscreen three times resulting in improved air flow each time over the previous modification, with the third modification and lowest position working best for "me" compared to everything tested. The final modified windscreen has smooth airflow around & over my helmet like the naked SV650 I once owned.
