When you mounted the forkbrace did it look the same on both forks?
One side is even w/fork housing ridge and other is maybe 1/16" above the
ridge.

Mine looks quite even on both sides.

Have you checked to make sure your forks are in the triple trees correctly and even?

Mine are even. I wonder what you found to be the cause. Give us an update if you figured it out.

Until you tighten the center clamping bolts, you can move either side up or down a little independent of the other side.
