Just got my SuperBrace today from Blair. DL650 '08 with MadStad and stock windscreen. Had been having problems in the high winds/crosswinds in Oklahoma (calm days are great, but few).

Install went very well (the only pinch bolt on my '08 is on the right, right??? none on the left unless I'm a complete idiot [always possible, but someone straighten me out if I blew that one]).

Took a 40 minute test drive, on 4 lane, two lane, gravelly 2 lane, twisties, etc., all in high windy conditions.

Result: MUCH better. Wind is wind and it's still there of course, but the bike doesn't feel like it's swimming in the crosswinds. It just tracks. I feel the road more (pebbles, surface flaws, etc.), presumably because the front end is stiffer now and those things translate up through the bike more now. That's cool with me though.

At least for now, after only one short ride, I feel that the MadStad has really helped the buffeting, my new helmet is better (HJC), and the SuperBrace has really made the strong crosswinds far less scary and far more manageable.

whew...(and thanks to Blair for great service)
