After scouring local dealerships looking for a Red '05 DL650 I finally found one at Stroud Motorsports in Stroudsburg, Pa. The bike had been damaged by a brick thrown through the dealership window.
I made a deal of $5600 with a trade in of $3100 for my '03 Honda Nighthawk 750 with the manager (who checked out my trade). The deal was pending cosmetic repairs including a replacement tank.
Long story short the tank (promised in a week) took over a month to arrive. The sales manager then changed the trade to $2200 ("we discounted the bike $500, you can't have it both ways") despite what his manager said. I pulled the trade off the table and paid the $5600, sold the Nighthawk on eBay for $3500.
Should've got it in writing I know. Typical bait and switch deal. All this after the manager gave me the song and dance about keeping buyers happy, "we want your return business".
Not only will I not buy another bike from Stroud Motorsports, I'll also be getting my service done elsewhere.
