New Turnsignals that wont break in a tipover

I am sure this has been addressed in another thread somewhere, but Virginia seems to have some funny laws about motorcycle turnsignal spacing, they cant be too close or too far apart...I really would like something that wont break in a simple tipover. Anyone have any suggestions for something they know is legal in VA ignoring the obvious idea of using the stock replacements???

Buell makes a turn signal with a flexible/rubber stem - reasonable price too.

Do a site search there are part numbers documented on this site.
I am going to change over to the buell model as soon as I break my first turn signal.

Sorry about the drop! My first one was in my garage -- about as embarrassing as you can get...

Anyhow, I replaced my front signals with Buell signals. They're shorter and about 1000% more flexible. This thread on the V-Strom forum should help: http://11109.rapidforum.com/topic=110472994935

My total cost was something like $30:
*$10 or $11 each for the Buell signals from the local Harley dealer
*$5 for some marker light adapters 'cause I didn't want to cannibalize any wiring (http://www.solomotoparts.com/product.php?productid=20408)
*$2 for a pair of 1156NA lamps
*Plus a few bucks for hardware (SS fender washers, nuts)

I also bought a set LP marker light spacers that fit the GSXR600 and the SV650 (http://www.solomotoparts.com/product.php?productid=20428) figuring that they would fit the 'Strom, too, but I was wrong. It doesn't matter, though - even without the spacers, the install looks very clean.
