Bar end mirrors?

i keep reading about the buffeting from the mirrors on these bikes. Has anyone tried bar end mirrors and how did they work?

I had a set on my Vmax. Don't know about buffetting, but they looked cool. I didn't care for their position - both for viewing and getting my hands on and off the grips. Tipped the bike over, ruined a mirror. Wouldn't do it again on any bike, especially one that goes on dirt roads.
