This year our group from www.cycleforums.com is doing our annual ride a little different. We're still going to meet and ride around beautiful south/central Indiana, but this year I'm going to take up some funds
for my neighbor’s family.
This is my neighbor's daughter (you can read the story at the web site www.savingmissmorgan.com, the 6/25 ride listed on the site is not what this is). Anyhow we all know how expensive it's got to be to drive back
and forth from Bloomington to Indy (55 miles each way) on a daily basis and I thought maybe we, as a group, could do something to help out. We've got our Sept. 17th ride in the works already and I thought if we
could invite as many of our friends as possible to the ride and all pitch in a few dollars (donations only, no "entry fee" type thing), we could help them out some.
Any money collected will go toward purchasing gas, grocery, and wal-mart gift-cards for the family. Reason being that any cash donations to the family is tracked by Medicaid as spend-down money, that amount
that the family must payout each month before Medicaid payment kicks in. Non-monetary gifts do not fall into this amount.
So if anyone in the area would like to show up and hang out with us, please come along. There's no poker-run, no bands, no door prizes...just a bunch of motorcyclists getting together for a nice Saturday ride and helping out some good people in the process. We're a group of safe riders that welcome anyone as long as they ride safe and within their limits.
We'll meet at the HD/Buell Dealership in Bloomington, IN at 9:30 with the first group of 10 out at 10 and a group every 10 minutes after that. Route sheets will be provided at the meeting place. Here is a link to a map of the meeting location if you need it:
