I have a few questions that I hope haven't already been answered here. I've done a search but couldn't find exactly what I need.

1. I really like the aluminum bags from Jesse.....but as this bike will be for about 80% two-up touring I'm wondering if they allow room for the passengers feet. Wife has size 8 boot.

2. It seems that the consenses is that the stock screen sucks. Has anybody regretted buying the Strom because of this? I'm 5-8 and have always had naked bikes so I'm hoping I can find a good comprimise.

3. Does the passenger get an unreasonable amount of buffeting?

4. Does the 1000 produce enough juice to run 2 electric vests. This is important since I live at 6000 feet in Utah and would like to ride well into winter.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Howboucha Gopher!

I have a 02' DL1000 and love it. My wife rides with me every now and then. We did a week long trip on it and she did just fine.
I have the Touratech cases and not only is she able to place her feet anywhere she needs, the tops act as great arm-hand rests. I do put a tail box with backrest pad on the rear rack for extra support on the long runs.

Buffeting has never been an issue for me, but there are many V-Strom owners that don't like the stock screen, or many of the aftermarket ones for that matter. Check out the many "windshield" threads.

I wear an electric vest with my "Hot Hands" grip wraps and have had no issues.

I think you will be fine.

Thanks stromtro, that's the kind of answers I need.

Anyone else with two cents?
