Well guys, I said I was about to get one of these, I picked it up today and what a thrill! Its been 18 yrs since I retired my riding when my second son came along. My previous bike was a BMW R100S. I guess the senior moments are kicking in, but I certainly don't remember being as overwelmed by my old bike. This DL1000 is one sweet bike. It started storming a bit, the wind and rain didn't even phase my ear to ear grin. The bike likes wet pavement just fine! The saga continues. If I find I need to remap after the break in period, does anyone know of a dealer down on the Gulf Coast that does it? This bike is so much fun to ride, its a shame I have to drive the company Caravan to do my job! LOL
