Nothing short of fantastic. Great moisture wicking liner, quick change shields, comfortable, quiet, no fog shields. Very pleased for $190.

I've had mine for two months. Really like this helmet, great improvement over my HJC. A little more noise, but prefer this trade off for the great venting. I wear plugs anyway for long or highway trips. The shields are great with their no fogging and easy changing. I will buy another scorpion when it is time.

I'm also impressed with the Scorpion EXO700.
If it fits your head shape, it's worth a try.

I have to agree. I had planned on buying an Arai, but after seeing teh EXO at VIR, I decided to give it a try. I have worn Bell helmeta as laong as I have been riding, and my father was sponsored by Bell back in his flat track days. The new Bells appear to be cheaply made, and are being sold on price alone., so when I damaged mine in a high speed low side, decided to try something else.
I have had mine about a year now. I have been very happy. Plenty of ventiliation, not as loud as my last Bell, Quick change shields are great. Overall just as hppy now as when I got it. One concern I have several chips, in the paint, apparently from raod debris. Just cosmetic, bit have not seen it on other helmets.

+1 for the Scorpion
Bought it as a 2nd rider lid in spring and I have ended up wearing it most of the time. With the miles I ride the inside can become olfactory challenging so I really like the ease of changing Scorpion liners.
Of course when I want to ride fast as a Cheetah I put this liner the helmet:

Just to give you some info regarding this helmet - it failed 2005 DOT testing, see the info from the link below:

I know this helmet has got some very good reviews and I liked it too, until this info came out. Now, I'm not so sure anymore...

Yes, the 700 indeed failed. I had the 400 until I crash tested it... it did it's job. I replace lids that are dropped/crashed so gave it to my neighbor's little ones to play with and run around pretending to be Stromette.
I'm a little confused, mine is an '05 and has the DOT and SNELL approved stickers on the back.

I contacted Scorpion about this test failure and they sent the following response:
"Sir,
We have been in contact with the NHTSA about this and what they have told us is that this test failure is not considered a defect so will not be ordering a recall. This test is down at low temperature meaning the freezing mark or below, we have confidence in this helmet and re-testing at 3 independent labs show the helmet passing. The DOT/NHSTA have agreed to re-test the helmet in FY06 to confirm or discredit their finding.
This excerpt is from the person who we contacted at the office of NHSTA,
“we have closed the investigation on the EXO-700. As the close out letter we sent you states, we plan to test this helmet again during the FY06 program. You may wish to provide a copy of our letter to your customers or suggest they contact me and I can explain that our investigation is closed and we plan to test the helmet during the FY06 test program.”"
