I've been riding a 2003 Interceptor for 3 years now. Before that it was an ST1100, and a CB 900 Custom. I've been pretty happy with the Interceptor, but am looking for a bike with a little more comfort and better throttle response just off idle. I've had problems with the engine stalling in low speed turns and maneuvers. (Can You Say Tipover?) I know that I am probably part of the problem but I never had this happen with the other two bikes.

I tour about once a year for two weeks, other than that most of my rides are in the 100 mile range.

I'm 6' 2" - 195#

Is the V Strom 1000 the right bike for me?
Is hard luggage available?
What other accessories and mods ar recommended?

Also take a look at the 650. If most of your rides are one-up the 650 is a good fit.

All of my rides are one up, but am looking for adequate low end torque when loaded down with camping gear etc. for touring.
