When I was doing the scheduled maintenance I noticed that the clutch lever bushing was worn. This is the brass bushing that pushes the plunger in on the master cylinder. I'am curious why this would be so scored. Maybe: grit, bike has been dropped on the lever I do not know. You cannot just buy the bushing, so I will make a new one at work. I think I will machine in a small groove for grease. Has any one else checked the lubrication in this area.

My clutch lever bushing wore out too... and the clutch lever broke as a result -- the thin ring part of the aluminum alloy that encircles the brass bushing. Fortunately, it was only a few miles from my house. I'll I can, I'll replace the whole goddamn lever with aftermarket. Damned if I'll put on an expensive ten-piece adjustable OEM lever with an inherent design flaw.
