A friend of mine and I may come through your way this fall for a few days ride into Big Bend. This as an alternative trip to California. I wanted to come out that way this past spring but was unable to. Want to in late september or early october. Prefer cool to hot. Will try to keep in touch with you. How are you liking the 650?

Lovin the Strom. Bike runs great, its second hand. Ran my first measured tank of gas through the other day making the "three sisters run" 337 - 335 - 336. Up around Leaky, 30 miles north of Uvalde. Lots of twisties. People come from all over to make that run. 53.4 miles per gallon, nice.
I and another rider made Big Bend in April, wildflowers were outstanding, It was said they were "best in memory". The rains had come just right. I like riding in the desert, but only spring and fall...summer is too much. Its HOT there. Hot enough here. ARG!
Keep in touch. Tthink I'm going to make the pie run in Marble Falls at the BlueBonnet Cafe Saturday. I understand this is a monthly meet. Good way to make connection with others.
Take care, ride safely.
