Hi all,
I stole this posting. Here's a link to the original:

Johnny_5 and I have been tossing around the idea of doing a women's riding weekend for a while, and thought heck, no time like the present. So, we are pleased to announce our upcoming Chick Fest 08.
When: July 17-20, 2008
Where: Near Salida, CO
The goal of this weekend is above all to have a good time, meet people, and hopefully learn something too. We're both pretty dirt focused, so we're designing the activities around dirt, but all are welcome!
Here's a rundown of what's in the works:
* Dirt skills clinic on the first day followed by an easy trail ride.
* A basic bike maintenance clinic that will go over some of the universal truths of care and feeding for your bike.
* We'll have a couple of trail rides planned of varying difficulties, some challenging (for the Johnny_5 rockstars of the world), some easier (for the noobs like me). We will also have some street routes scouted for those of you who prefer to keep it clean.
But wait, there's more!
* There will also be plenty of co-ed, non riding activities, like camp fires, eating, and drinking. And whatever other co-ed activities happen in tents after drinking will remain unmentioned.
* And of course, we will have t-shirts available to commemorate the event, provided by our very own Hayduke. Price and ordering details to come shortly.
"Can I bring my significant other/guy friend/son/whatever" you ask? YES! Guys are welcome, but there's a catch. As is an unfortunate side effect of posting events like this on the interweb, there is a chance that we may get a creep contingent who show up hoping to pick up on the ladies. So if you're a guy, you need a pass, i.e. a reference from one of the ladies who will be attending (and each lady is not limited to only one guy reference). On that note, the planned rides and clinic are for the ladies only. But don't feel too left out boys. We'll have some routes scouted for you too, or you can explore on your own.
I'm in! Now what? If you'd like to attend, let me know by posting here or IM me. We'll need your name and email address, and we'll distribute the exact location via email as we get closer to the event.
Cheers!
