I like wearing a jacket when riding as much as I can but usually quit once summer gets going good. but this year I decided to get a jacket that is better vented than my Teknic.

I left the house looking for a blue Joe Rocket Pheonix 3.0, and came back with a white Timax Mesh jacket. The weave in the mesh is quite a bit tighter with smallet thread so it looks more like a regular textile jacket from a distance. The fit is very good although not as good as the Merc jacket I tried on, also by Icon. Infact I would have gotten the Merc but the only color they had was black.

Positives: Very light. I like the look of the jacket. Flows very well. Color reflects alot of heat, I am actualy more comfortable wearing it than I was wearing short sleaves to go pick it up.

Negatives:Lacks any real armor. Liner not available (not that big of an issue because it is not my primary jacket 3/4 of the year). Smallish pockets. Not machine washable. Color will show Kamakazi bugs in all their glory.

After the honeymoon I will get a better picture of just how it works, but right now it is new, I am comfortable, and I love it.

I wear a standard ti max jacket and I love it. I feel as if I could be drug to hell and back with out any personal damage. Although the coat is heavy and hot, it makes me feel very safe to wear it.

Recently, I just purchased a Dainese Trax from the local cyclegear. It ain't cheap, (about 350), but I'm very pleased with the fit, quality, and safety. It has CE armor in the shoulders and elbows/arms with a pocket for optional back armor. The leather is thick (I think 1.4mm) but is soft and supple as well. It set me back but I'll have it for a lifetime. It has a removable insulated liner as well.

Sorry didnt see the question.

I still love it but I have switched back to my Teknic huricain (dicontinued) for the winter, if the timax had a liner I would still be wearing it since I like the fit better.

Again sorry about not replying sooner
