I picked up a piece of steel in my original rear trailwing about 2 weeks ago and had planned on replacing the original tires with 020's when they wore out. I went ahead and put on the Z rated 020's in the original sizes.
These tires are a lot better than the trailwings for street riding. Smoother and stickier. They do feel different from the originals as they tend to fall into corners without as much input as the trailwings required. But after riding with true sportbike tires for about a week I would not want to go back to the trailwings.
I recomend them for anyone who rides their V Strom only on the street. I have a dirt bike to ride off road so the trailwings were not going to be considered for replacement tires and the Battleaxes are one of the few sport tires in the Stroms original sizes although they are Z rated which is more speed rating than I will need.
