OTD price for a 2005 DL1000 V-Strom

In two weeks I plan one buying a black 2005 DL1000 V-Strom (Finally got approval from the wife). To all of the V-Strom 1000 owners, what was your out the door price. Also, does anyone know the true dealer cost?

I paid $8700 out the door for mine... tax, title and prep!! Not for sure what their cost is, I feel like I got a real good deal though. :)

I think tax and title is depends and are different so

i payed 8118 $ otd and then had to pay tax and title on my own

You will find different answers all over in this forum. Some say full price plus and some say dealers were dying to give the bike away.
No matter what you end up paying, it's the best bike for the value around.

Don't want to make you feel really bad, but. Look for used. I bought a new 650 in 04. Now have about 9000miles on it. Back in may was at local Honda shop (heaven forbid). Was about to leave when noticed an 05 1000 in the used section. Went around the bike, many extras, before seeing the price. My jaw dropped when seeing the sticker. They only wanted 4995.00. Asked if was correct, had 5000 miles. Long story shorter, asked wife, was approved by credit union. Now have both stroms. My worst problem is which one to ride which day. Oh the pain.
