$38.99 from Oneida Suzuki
Complex instructions for such a simple part, but pretty easy to install. Took about a half hour including dropping a washer somewhere in the bike and wiggling / using a magnet to find it.
Nice looking parts bag and good product presentation. Comes with everything you will need - all hardware.
Installation of the lower portion of the handle bar clamp joint shows that the guards are meant to be kinda loose fit - you are attaching a bolt through a u shaped slot, not a hole - so the fit is not real tight. Probably good in the event of a face to face with the earth.
You get bar weight extensions to accomodate the outer ends of the hand guards, they are big and heavy like the bar ends - so essentially you get more weight for the bar ends. I hate additional mass, but this seems necessary with this type of design. I'd have preferred a smaller spacer instead of another 3/8" of solid stock. But the upside - due to the additional bar end weight, there seems to be a tiny bit less (and I am talking a red CH) bar vibration. Skip that extra beer on bowling night and you could offset the extra mass of these little extensions.
Overall fit and finish is pretty good. Looks totally factory and seems to finish off the bars nicely.
Performance is very good - I have long hands and I wear drytech gloves (kinda bulky) and everything fits nicely behind the guards. Did about 90 on the highway last night, very nice feeling to have all that protection from the wind, rocks, cigarette buts, giant flying terds, etc.
Overall - very satisfied with this product and my purchase. I might tinker with the installation details a little, but I probably will leave it as is. It is a nice stout fit that seems like it will give a little during a get - off, and the look and overall fit & finish is good. I am very pleased and for the money and intended purpose, I would highly recommend them.
